Clarissa Mercado, M.S.
Associate Program Supervisor
Clarissa joined the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2018 at ABI, as a Skills Trainer. Clarissa received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge. Clarissa became familiar with the field when she was 15 after her little brother started to receive in home services at the age of three, after his own diagnosis. Seeing firsthand how much of an impact early intervention had on her brother, she was determined to pay it forward and continue her education. Clarissa went on to receive her Masters of Science in Behavioral Psychology degree from Pepperdine University.
Clarissa has been supporting and working with families across the San Fernando Valley as a program supervisor since obtaining her master’s degree. Clarissa has worked in schools, centers, and in homes providing quality supervision. Her favorite part of attending sessions is being able to interact with the children she supervises and witnessing their skill repertoires increase. She enjoys conducting assessments in home with the children she works with to develop age-appropriate goals. Clarissa also really enjoys using the Behavioral Skills Training Model to support the Skills Trainers on her teams.
Clarissa currently lives in the San Fernando Valley and serves families throughout the area.
